MA in Cultural Industries

The MA programme in Cultural Industries plays an exceptionally important role among MOKK’s projects and activities. This unique programme aims to provide an overview the contemporary transformations of the convergent cultural industries in a complex theoretical framework that concentrates on the interactions of emerging media technologies, business strategies, cultural forces and policy objectives. Offered to a small number of dedicated, ambitious and competent students, the constantly evolving curriculum is a synthesis of a decade of MOKK research on the logics and consequences of collapsing boundaries between the media, telecommunication and the IT sectors. Individual courses build upon the up to date expertise of MOKK’s researchers and their wider professional network and are designed to enable students to gain practical expertise in particular fields and tasks that resonate most with their interests and competences.
